problem
Hot PC
Submitted by Ray on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 12:09One of the most common problems that people come to me with is computers that just shut down and restart at odd moments. Now, there are a number of possible explanations for this, ranging from a PSU that is on the edge of a breakdown, a corrupt file-system, or an overheating board or CPU.
One came in the other day and after a bit of investigation I found the source of its over-heating problem.

The calm after the storm
Submitted by Ray on Sun, 08/12/2007 - 19:20Yesterday was a nightmare, I was pulling my hair out due to the inability of php and mysql to communicate. After a sound nights sleep it took me nearly 30 minutes to achieve what I spent all day doing yesterday.
It seems that wamp stores a php.ini in its /apache2/ folder, even though I was editing the one that resides in /windows/system/ , obviously with no effect at all. Mai bpen rai (never mind) as the thai's would say. I will mayby do a tutorial.post on it one of these days.
One of those days!

Lately it has been so hectic trying to get things finished off and ready for public consumption, nearly there though. All that is left on Solve is a couple of niggly design issues, bit too much whitespace in some areas.
