It's that time again, the Crestock Photoshop Competition is opening this week. The sample images were released last week but I only found the time to download them on Friday.

An interesting new twist to the competition is that this year they are suggesting themes for each round, setting a certain style that the entries will take.

The theme for the first round is 'US Election Propaganda Posters' and with the supplied stock images I am sure the entries wont disappoint.

My entry, shown above, was heavily influenced by some of the old soviet style propaganda. The composition of the armaments lined up down the sides as opposing forces really suited the supplied stock images well.

Here's hoping I do better than last year.

I am sorry to say I havent had time this week to submit my entry for the Crestock Photoshop Competition.

It has just been to rushed around here and I simply have not had the time to get my entry up to scratch for submission. I am a little bit peeved by this, but I suppose its good that business is picking up, although maybe I should devote a little less time to personal projects anyway.

Sadly I didnt figure in the top 15 for round 1, fair enough, there were some fantastic compositions in this round and I have to admit that my entry was mayby more fun based than artistic.

A big thanks to all who voted for my entry in the Crestock Photoshop Competition but its not over yet, the voting for round 2 is upon us and the competition is getting tougher.

The images supplied this time were a bit more detailed than the first round images. For each round they supply us with a number of images and you have to make something unique out of them. My entry, Robot-Attack, took me a couple of days to put together, unfortunately I would have liked more time to do some finishing touches to it, but I am happy enough with my submission.

Been busy for a few days preparing my entry for the Crestock Photoshop Contest 2007.
